Elizabeth Forbes

Elizabeth Forbes is a national board-certified, licensed clinical professional counselor who has considerable experience working with adolescents, youth, and young adults. She has worked for over 15 years in the public school system and currently works as a high school counselor and dual-enrollment career support specialist for high school students entering community college. More broadly, she supports students in the development of academic, social, and emotional wellness. She has also worked in a part-time capacity as an EMDR-trained trauma-informed therapist with Trauma Specialists of MD. 

 Elizabeth is the proud wife of Irvin Forbes and the proud mom of four amazing daughters. She and her husband are in-house pastors at Bethel Worship Center (Hagerstown, MD) under the leadership of Apostles Michael and Donna Scott. In the church setting, she has created and facilitated grief peer support groups for those at various stages of bereavement. As a long-term goal, Elizabeth and her husband, Irvin, together have a passion to restore hope to young people and adults through the creation of rescue centers that provide mental health, financial and social support to people who have experienced abuse, trauma, and abandonment.
